CraftJack is built around a philosophy of better leads, lower prices, and friendlier service. We also give contractors better tools to manage the leads we send them.
Yes. All contractors must have a state license where required by your state. All contractors must also have general liability insurance and workman's comp if you have full-time employees.
There are no monthly fees or monthly minimum purchase requirements for using CraftJack. We feel strongly that your account should be managed to meet the needs of your business. Every contractor has the ability to specify the maximum amount they wish to spend per month, with the opportunity to change that number (higher or lower) at any time. Additionally, if a contractor feels they are too busy to handle any more new leads, he can temporarily pause their account without penalty.
When you set up a new account you will be billed $125 and we will then add $25 worth of leads to your account (You get $25 in free leads from us). Once you use up that amount we bill you after we send you leads.
At first you will be billed more frequently. As you establish a trusted relationship with us we will raise your billing threshold and you will be billed less frequently. We do this to prevent fraud and to help build a trusted relationship.
The $125 shows that you are committed to trying our service out. In exchange we give you an extra $25 in your account for free. That way you have $150 to get a real feel for our program.
In the past we have had issues with contractors signing up, getting 2,3 leads then disappearing without paying their balance. We are not interested in working with these types of accounts as they tend to provide poor service to homeowners in addition to adding to our own risk.
Each service is priced differently. You can see the prices for every service in your account before you select it.
There is no way for us to determine exactly how many leads you will get. It depends on your location and how many other contractors are in your area. It also depends on other factors like your rating on your profile page and your general history with us.
We do not make any types of guarantees as to how many leads will turn into jobs. Contractors with good communication skills and a strong sales and follow up process in place tend to have more success turning leads into jobs.
If you are not comfortable talking to people, have poor english skills, or have poor sales skills, you may want to find someone else to handle those aspects of the leads to increase your chances of success.
As soon as a homeowner fills out a request on a CraftJack site, we immediately call them to ensure a working phone number has been provided, to inform the homeowner that they should expect to hear from our contractors shortly to try and set up a free in-home estimate, and to give the homeowner an opportunity to cancel the request if they do not wish to proceed. We also send a follow up email informing the homeowner they should expect the contractors to schedule a free in-home estimate.
If you get a lead with incorrect contact information or project description then we will give you credit on your account that will be applied toward future leads. We define a bad lead as any lead with invalid contact information, mobile homes, a lead where the homeowner claims they never submitted a request, or a lead where the person who submitted the request does not own the home. Occasionally you may get a lead for someone with a low budget or who is not interested in your work. While we do not officially credit for these, we may make exceptions based on your credit history with us.

While some lead companies do offer previews of leads before purchasing, CraftJack does not currently offer lead previews and automatically matches you with leads based on your service area zip codes and services until you reach your monthly budget.
You will receive an email with all of the homeowners contact information and the details for the project that were provided to CraftJack, immediately after we verify the phone number and call the homeowner. Additionally, you may request to receive text message notifications sent to your cell phone so that you are aware of any new leads even when not by your computer. You may also view all new and past leads from your online account.
Some of our services are broken down into categories of small jobs and large jobs. Small job categories will be less expensive than large jobs. You have the option to select both, or just one.
