Contractor Spotlight: Aaron Stockstell, Stockstell Services

CraftJack: What are your future goals for your business?

Aaron Stockstell, Stockstell Services: My business goal is to continue to expand and to do so I have to be scalable and I want to do it efficiently. I do a lot of research and i look at other bigger digital companies that are just booming right now. What they're doing is they've been able to take on the market at the push of a button and how can I continue to build a solid reputation without doing all the phone calls and interactions and just streamlining at the push of a button? Without CraftJack my business model and plan doesn't exist.

CraftJack: What are some of the challenges of being a small business owner?

Aaron Stockstell, Stockstell Services: One challenge is understanding that what I do today, there's a very good chance that I won't see results for 6 to 8 months. That's very hard in a time like right now. That's very hard to digest. Another analogy, you planted a seed and you have to keep watering it. With CraftJack it happened within days. so i'm sitting here like "whoa something's not right, like you're moving too fast Aaron, slow it down" I realized that sometimes the slow route is sometimes the fastest route.

CraftJack: What do you attribute your success to?

Aaron Stockstell, Stockstell Services: Trial and error, a lot of trial and error. There's no secret, there's no book. You gotta throw it at the wall and see what sticks and I've thrown a lot of stuff at the wall. A LOT. With CraftJack it was one of those things I threw at the wall and it stuck. I think a lot of my success recently has come from my mindset of knowing that I'm playing chess right now right and again CraftJack has made it seem like I'm playing checkers because it's happening so fast and wasn't expecting this.
